The bad news is that Pascal Dupuis has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames. Otherwise, the latest updates are highly positive.
Most importantly, Penguins head coach Mike Johnston announced that tests regarding blood clot issues came up negative.
Johnston notes that Dupuis will be re-evaluated on Saturday. One would assume that this is part of the reason that he won’t play, although it’s not necessarily true that it’s the only thing that might be causing an issue.
(He did go to the hospital tonight, after all.)
Another promising sign? He returned to congratulate teammates after their win.

Speaking of that win, this marks six straight victories for the Penguins, who’ve also won nine of 10 games.
