We wrote earlier today about how special teams have been “hurting” the Philadelphia Flyers, who have struggled on both the power play and penalty kill.

But what about the other 29 teams?

Well, here are all 30 teams, sorted by their combined PP and PK percentages.

Obviously, anything over 100 is good.

New York Islanders120.9
Montréal Canadiens112.3
Washington Capitals112.0
Boston Bruins110.3
Vancouver Canucks110.0
Nashville Predators108.7
Winnipeg Jets107.7
Dallas Stars107.6
Chicago Blackhawks103.3
Detroit Red Wings103.0
New York Rangers102.2
Edmonton Oilers101.4
Los Angeles Kings101.1
Florida Panthers101.1
Pittsburgh Penguins100.0
Anaheim Ducks99.1
Colorado Avalanche99.1
New Jersey Devils98.1
Minnesota Wild97.6
Tampa Bay Lightning96.4
Arizona Coyotes94.5
Buffalo Sabres94.1
St. Louis Blues93.8
San Jose Sharks92.5
Calgary Flames91.6
Carolina Hurricanes90.9
Ottawa Senators89.0
Philadelphia Flyers88.7
Columbus Blue Jackets88.0
Toronto Maple Leafs81.1

As you can, special teams are indeed hurting the Flyers. Only the Blue Jackets and Leafs have a lower combined rate.

Meanwhile, special teams have been a real boon for the Isles, Habs, Caps, Bruins and Canucks. The Isles have the top-ranked PK and the second-ranked PP.

You can also see a pretty clear relation to the standings. The top eight teams are all currently in a playoff spot, while the bottom six are not.
