Joey MacDonald is headed overseas.

MacDonald, the 35-year-old goalie that’s spent time with the Red Wings, Bruins, Islanders, Maple Leafs and Flames, has opted to sign with German League outfit Schenninger Wild Wings, the club announced on Friday.

MacDonald spent last season with Montreal’s AHL affiliate in Hamilton, going 10-9-6 with a .910 save percentage and 2.77 GAA.

A veteran of over 100 NHL contests, MacDonald had his busiest year on Long Island in 2008-09, starting a career-high 46 games. He later enjoyed a nice spell in Detroit from 2010-12, emerging as a capable backup for Jimmy Howard.

His last big-league work came in ’13-14, when he appeared in 11 games for Calgary.
