Winnipeg Jets’ forward T.J. Galiardi has signed with the Malmo Redhawks of the Swedish Hockey League according to a report.
Galiardi signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 with the Jets last summer, but was never really a fit.
The 27-year-old was waived on two separate occasions by the Jets, but went unclaimed.
In 38 games with Winnipeg during the 2014-15 season, Galiardi had one goal, two penalty minutes and a minus-8 rating while averaging 10:28 in ice time.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Calgary native was never able to replicate the 15-goal, 39-point campaign he had during his rookie season with the Colorado Avalanche.
