The New York Islanders are expected to sign forward Kirill Petrov on Monday according to a report out of Russia.

Igor Eronko reports Petrov has agreed on terms of contract termination with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL.

The 25-year-old had five goals and 15 points in 47 KHL games during the 2014-15 season.

The Islanders originally selected Petrov in the third round (73rd overall) at the 2008 NHL Draft.
