The Calgary Flames have signed undrafted forward Louick Marcotte his agent Allain Roy confirmed.

According to the Calgary Sun, the deal is an American Hockey League contract.

Marcotte spent the 2014-15 season with Gatineau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League leading the Olympiques with 36 goals and 76 points in 63 regular season games. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Marcotte added a goal and two assists in 10 playoff games.

His most impressive season came in 2013-14. While with the Val d’Or Foreurs Marcotte scored 42 goals and 100 points in 67 games finishing second in team scoring behind Red Wings’ prospect Anthony Mantha. Marcotte added 12 goals and 37 points as the Foreurs won the QMJHL title earning a trip to the Memorial Cup.

The 21-year-old is likely to begin his professional career with the Stockton Heat next season.
