Well, Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop got off to a good start in tonight’s first round contest against the Red Wings. It took a great play by Henrik Zetterberg for Detroit to finally beat him in the second period.
The second goal he allowed though was...not great. Red Wings forward Joakim Andersson flung the puck towards the net and Bishop managed to block it. However, that caused the puck to spurt upwards and Bishop presumably attempted to knock it away with his stick. In practice what he actually did was knock it backwards and into his own net:
Ben Bishop is a tremendous puck handler. It was just a matter of time before he scored.

With that, Detroit took a 2-0 lead into the second intermission. Given that the Red Wings entered this game with a 2-1 series lead, this is a potentially devastating error for Bishop. Still, the Lightning have an opportunity to bounce back.
