Zdeno Chara missed practiced today and is reportedly day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Coach Claude Julien called it a “maintenance day” and said Chara may be able to practice tomorrow.
Chara was reportedly “hobbled” when he dropped down to block a shot off his ankle Saturday versus Toronto. He was not forced from the game, however.
The Bruins announced this morning that they’d recalled defenseman Joe Morrow from AHL Providence on an emergency basis.
Boston has three games left in the regular season, all of them on the road. The B’s play Wednesday in Washington, Thursday in Florida, and Saturday in Tampa Bay.
Julien on Zee: "He’s day-to-day; today was a maintenance day. I know he’s better today than he was after last game. We’ll hope for the best"
