Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Stephane Robidas will undergo surgery on his shoulder and is done for the season.

He is expected to be ready for the start of camp.

Robidas has been battling shoulder issues since at least December when he was hit by Philadelphia Flyers’ forward Wayne Simmonds.

The 38-year-old, who signed a three-year, $9 million contract with the Leafs last summer, had a goal and six assists while averaging 17:04 in ice time in 52 games this season.

Robidas was limited to just 38 games last season after breaking his leg twice.
