The Boston Bruins sent forward Jordan Caron to the Colorado Avalanche for Maxime Talbot per TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Talbot has five goals and 15 points in 63 games this season while averaging 13 minutes in ice time.
The 31-year-old has one year remaining after this season on his five-year, $8.75 million contract, which has a cap hit of $1.75 million.
Talbot will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2015-16 season.
Caron, who is on a one-year, $600,000 contract is set to become a restricted free agent after this season.
The 24-year-old has split this season between the AHL and NHL.
In 11 games with Boston, Caron had 16 penalty minutes and a minus-1 rating. Caron added nine goals and 19 points in 23 games with Providence.
Early Monday morning the Bruins acquired Brett Connolly from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a pair of second-round draft picks.
