Not even a month after acquiring him from Nashville, the Toronto Maple Leafs have flipped Olli Jokinen to the St. Louis Blues.

Jokinen will provide bottom-six depth for the Blues, in return for forward Joakim Lindstrom, 31, and a conditional sixth-round draft pick.

Assuming he can crack the lineup, the 36-year-old will also get to participate in the playoffs for just the second time in his lengthy career. He played six postseason games for Calgary in 2009.

“In 1997 I got drafted and since that year I’ve been dreaming about winning a Cup,” Jokinen said recently, per the National Post. “You put all the work in and that’s the goal. Any player that’s played at this level, that’s what everyone wants … but it gets harder and harder every year.”

Jokinen has three goals and four assists in 54 games this season. He only suited up six times for Toronto, registering one assist.
