St. Louis Blues’ Ryan Reaves took Teuvo Teravainen’s skate to the mouth midway through the first period this afternoon.
Reaves hauled down the Blackhawks’ rookie, and while Teravainen was falling, his skate came up and caught Reaves.
The Blues forward received a minor penalty for interference on the play, but went straight to the Blues’ room for repairs.
The Blackhawks, who were already up 1-0, failed to add to their lead on the man advantage.
Reaves returned for the conclusion of the first period.
