VANCOUVER, BC - MARCH 02: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Goaltender Roberto Luongo #1 of the Vancouver Canucks walks out with his team prior to the start of the 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic game against the Ottawa Senators at BC Place on March 2, 2014 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Hey, remember when John Tortorella started Eddie Lack over Roberto Luongo in the 2014 Heritage Classic and like two days later Luongo had forced a trade to Florida?

Now YOU can commemorate that moment by purchasing the pads that Luongo wore to sit on the bench and watch the Canucks lose to Ottawa.

From the press release:

The Canucks for Kids Fund (CFKF) is excited to announce that bidding has opened for an online auction in support of the 15th annual CFKF Dice & Ice Benefit, presented by Scotiabank. The auction of more than 25 rare and priceless items and experiences includes:

-Former Canuck Roberto Luongo’s autographed Heritage Classic pads, glove, and blocker which are themed with Vancouver Millionaires colouring

The online auction featuring a number of unique and priceless items is now open and closes January 28th at 12:00 a.m. PST through the NHL Auction website at canucks.com/auction.

Here are the current bids to own these proud pieces of Canucks history:

Anyway, it’s for a good cause, so we can’t make fun of it too much. Hopefully the bids go a lot higher. According to its website, the Canucks for Kids Fund has “granted more than $46 million to charities in British Columbia over the last 29 years.”
