Los Angeles will return a key piece of its defense tonight when Robyn Regehr plays for the first time in 12 games after being sidelined with a hand injury.
Regehr, who last suited up on Dec. 18, will draw in for what’s a pretty important Western Conference playoff showdown as the Kings host the Flames. Just check the standings:
Calgary’s had Los Angeles’ number this year, too. Back on Dec. 22, the Flames stunned the Kings thanks to Johnny Gaudreau’s natural hat trick -- his final two goals came in the final 2:12 -- en route to a 4-3 OT decision at Staples.
Seven nights later, the Flames once again upended the Kings in dramatic fashion, scoring a 2-1 victory despite putting just 15 shots on Jonathan Quick.
