Once a powerhouse contender in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Bruins find themselves right now in the fight for a Wild Card spot early in January.

Their overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins - Patrice Bergeron scored the winner after a review into the deflection in front proved inconclusive - bumps the Bruins into the second and final Wild Card spot, one point ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bruins’ struggling power forward Milan Lucic, with six goals and 20 points in 40 games and now subject of trade speculation, hoped this victory would get his team rolling in the right direction.
