The L.A. Kings, losers against the Calgary Flames on Monday, should have Jeff Carter and Marian Gaborik in their lineup when they play the struggling Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday.
That’s according to LA Kings Insider. Both players have been dealing with illness, although Carter did play against the Flames, with more than 17 minutes of ice time.
“Jeff played with balls and gutted it out…he was sick all night, gave us what he got,” Kings’ head coach Darryl Sutter told LA Kings Insider.
The coach added: “Well, obviously Gaborik couldn’t play yesterday. That was his decision, so I’ll make the decision today.”
The Kings have won three of their last five games, however those two losses in that span have come against the Flames, which continue to surprise and hang around in the Pacific Division playoff hunt despite sitting 29th amongst NHL teams in Corsi For percentage at five-on-five.
