The Buffalo Sabres have recalled Tim Schaller and Mark Pysyk from the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans the club announced Sunday.

Buffalo is in Boston to take on the Bruins tonight.

Schaller will likely fill the spot of left by Patrick Kaleta, who left Saturday night’s 5-1 loss to Colorado due to flu-like symptoms.

Schaller made his NHL debut with the Sabres on Nov. 29 and has appeared in two games with Buffalo this season registering five hits and three blocked shots. He has eight goals and 18 points in 29 AHL games this season.

Pysyk will fill in for Tyler Myers, who was injured Saturday. The 22-year-old was Buffalo’s first-round pick (23rd overall) in 2010 and has appeared in 63 career games with the Sabres scoring two goals and 10 points. It is his first recall of the season. In 28 AHL games, Pysyk has 10 points.

In addition to Kaleta, Myers, and Mitchell, the Sabres are without Mike Weber, Tyson Strachan and Cody McCormick, who are all injured. Matt Moulson missed Saturday’s game with flu-like symptoms.
