The New Jersey Devils placed Mike Cammalleri on IR while recalling defenseman Adam Larsson and forward Mike Sislo from the AHL on Saturday, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.
That injured reserve placement is retroactive to Dec. 13, so Cammalleri could theoretically still return in the near future. In the meantime, the Devils get some room to maneuver, even if this can’t help their already anemic offense.
Larsson, 22, played one game with Albany as a conditioning stint after he dealt with the mumps. He might be a little short of 100 percent tonight if he ends up playing for the Devils.

Sislo, 26, has one assist in eight NHL games and 11 points in 21 AHL contests with the Albany Devils.
