Jean-Gabriel Pageau will get an another opportunity to prove he belongs in the NHL.
The Ottawa Senators announced they’ve recalled the forward from the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators on Sunday.
Pageau, 22, has eight goals and 10 assists in 26 AHL games this season.
The Ottawa native burst on to the scene with the Senators during the lockout shortened 2012-13 season registering four points in nine regular season games he added four goals and six points in 10 playoff games that spring.
Since then however, Pageau has registered just two goals in 28 games with the NHL club.
In 37 career NHL games, all with the Sens, Pageau has four goals, two assists and 12 penalty minutes while averaging 10:33 in ice time.
Ottawa returns to action Monday night when they visit the Buffalo Sabres.
