Video: Garbutt slewfoots Jets goalie, Byfuglien

Garbutt

With the Dallas Stars trying to get back into Tuesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets, Ryan Garbutt took two minor penalties for slewfooting his opponents.

The first incident occurred in the second period when he took out Winnipeg Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson and received a goalie interference penalty. He proceeded to do it again, this time against Dustin Byfuglien, in the final frame. Garbutt was sent to the box for another two minutes for tripping.

You can view that below:

Garbutt has 22 penalty minutes in 23 games this season and while he largely stayed out of trouble early this season, he’s been charged with at least one minor penalty in five of his last six contests. He also has five goals and 10 points in 2014-15.

Winnipeg went on to earn a 5-2 victory.
