Danish workhorse

It’s been all Frederik Andersen all the time for Anaheim lately, and that trend will continue tonight when the Ducks take on the Wild in Minnesota.

Andersen will make his 14th straight start on Friday, a streak that dates back to Nov. 7. The Danish netminder has been forced into heavy action due to a rash of injuries to his backups: John Gibson is sidelined with a groin injury, and Jason LaBarbera is out with a broken hand.

That’s forced AHL farmhand Igor Bobkov into a No. 2 role at the NHL level, and also forced the Ducks to extend a tryout to Ilya Bryzgalov.

Despite the heaviest workload of his brief career, Andersen has posted solid numbers this season, going 12-4-4 with a .915 save percentage, 2.43 GAA and one shutout.

For the Wild, Darcy Kuemper will be in goal tonight.
