Brett Connolly and Tyler Johnson each scored twice as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Rangers 6-3 Monday at MSG.

With the win, Tampa sweeps the season series over the Rangers. It was also the Lightning’s third win over the Rangers in just over two weeks.

Matt Carle and Ondrej Palat had the other Lightning goals.

Defenseman Victor Hedman, who was playing in just his second game since returning from a fractured finger, recorded three assists matching a career-best in a single game.

The win stretches Tampa Bay’s streak to four games.

Connolly undressed Rangers’ defenseman Marc Staal for his first of the night and third of the season to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead in the first period.

Kevin Hayes, Jesper Fast and Martin St. Louis had the Rangers goals.

St. Louis was honored for recording his 1,000th career NHL point prior to puck drop.

Henrik Lundqvist made 15 saves in the loss while Ben Bishop saw his record improve to 15-3-2 with a 32 save performance.
