While speaking with reporters at Monday’s Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony, goaltender Martin Brodeur expressed his interest in wanting to play in the NHL this season.

Brodeur, 42, has appeared in 1259 games all with the New Jersey Devils posting a 688-394-154 record to go along with a .912 save percentage and a 2.24 goals against average. Brodeur backstopped the Devils to Stanley Cup victories in 1995, 2000 and 2003.

He became an unrestricted free agent in July and has been unable to find a landing spot.

Brodeur was invited to play for Team Canada at the Spengler Cup, but turned down the offer.
