Don’t look now, but the Carolina Hurricanes have suddenly won five of their last six games.
They couldn’t - and didn’t - win a game in the month of October, and looked to be among the early frontrunners in the Connor McDavid sweepstakes. To begin November, however, the Hurricanes went on a four-game winning streak, and even though that ended over the weekend, they picked up their recent winning ways to begin this week, defeating the Calgary Flames by a final score of 4-1 on Monday.
Jeff Skinner, 22, helped lead the way offensively for the Hurricanes. He scored career goal No. 100, giving Carolina a 3-1 lead just past the midway point of the second period, then added an assist in the third.
