The New York Rangers lost a back-and-forth, high-scoring game with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, and New York’s head coach Alain Vigneault wasn’t pleased with a couple of aspects, including the officiating.

The Leafs defeated the Rangers by a final score of 5-4 in a highly entertaining game.

The Leafs jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period, thanks to a power play goal from Phil Kessel and a short-handed goal from Peter Holland. The Rangers actually jumped back into the lead on a beautiful goal from Rick Nash early in the third period, but the Leafs managed to come back and take this one in regulation. Leo Komarov scored the winner. It also counted as his first of the season.

Vigneault wasn’t at all happy and let it be known afterwards.

“A couple, in my opinion, questionable calls there, and they got momentum off it,” Vigneault said of the officiating, as per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

“You think four goals on the road is enough to win, it wasn’t enough tonight,” he added, as per TSN 1050.
