After Price blown out, Habs turn to Tokarski

Dustin Tokarski will make his third start of the season tonight when the Canadiens take on the Sabres in Buffalo.

Tokarski, who is 1-1 on the year with a 2.50 GAA and .909 save percentage, gets the nod one night after Carey Price was torced for five goals on 32 shots in a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Chicago. Tonight will also mark Tokarski’s first start since Oct. 27, in which he stopped 16 of 18 shots in an eventual 3-0 loss to Edmonton.

For the Sabres, Michal Neuvirth goes for the second straight game after beating Detroit 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday.

Gustavsson in for Detroit

One night after Jimmy Howard made 29 saves in a 3-1 loss to Ottawa, Detroit will turn to Jonas Gustavsson in the second of a back-t0-back at MSG. “The Monster” hasn’t played much this year -- this’ll be just his third start -- but has been highly effective when called upon, boasting a .935 save percentage and 1.45 GAA. Gustavsson also has Detroit’s lone shutout on the season, a 1-0 blanking of Toronto back on Oct. 18.

For the Rangers, Henrik Lundqvist is back in goal after Cam Talbot lost a 4-3 shootout decision to the Blues on Monday night.
