With Joffrey Lupul expected to miss the next three weeks with a broken hand, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed him on the injured reserve list, per the Globe and Mail’s James Mirtle.

Lupul has missed 63 regular season games since the start of the 2011-12 campaign due to a two-game suspension and variety of injuries, but this setback has to be particularly frustrating. The 31-year-old forward was hurt because he stepped on a stick during practice and fell to the ice.

The Maple Leafs also announced that forward Sam Carrick and defenseman Stuart Percy have been summoned from the Toronto Marlies. Both of them are rejoining the team after previous NHL stints in 2014-15. Carrick made his NHL debut on Saturday, but was briefly returned to the Marlies. Percy has three assists in seven games with the Maple Leafs this season.

Toronto will play against Arizona on Tuesday.
