Kevin Klein doesn’t score goals very often. If you had to, you’d probably classify him as that steady but reliable defenseman. His last NHL regular season goal, prior to Tuesday: March 11 against the Carolina Hurricanes.
However, he didn’t look at all out of place though when he found himself all alone, breaking in on Cory Schneider in overtime. Klein scored, obviously his first of the season, with a confident wrist shot to give the New York Rangers a 4-3 come-from-behind win in the extra period.
The Devils, now losers of three straight, had a 3-1 lead just before the midway point of the third period and gave it up.
