The Dallas Stars seemed intent on running Ryan Miller and the Vancouver Canucks right out of Texas.

The Stars chased Miller from the net early in the second period of Tuesday’s game, scoring five times on 13 shots. Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin scored 29 seconds apart to open up a 5-0 lead over the visiting Canucks. That was the end of the night for Miller.

Eddie Lack entered the game for Vancouver.

The Stars offered a rude welcome for Lack, too. After Radim Vrbata cut the lead to four goals, Dallas restored the five-goal cushion on Erik Cole’s second of the night and third of the season.

Not the return to Dallas and the state of Texas that Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins had been hoping for. He really wanted to win this one.

Below is a video of the Stars’ fourth goal. Immediately after, Lack started to gear up to come into the game. He didn’t get in until the fifth goal.
