The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Jonathan Drouin the club announced Sunday.

Drouin, who was recovering from a fractured thumb, was sent to Syracuse of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment.

In two games with the Crunch, Drouin had a goal and two assists.

The 19-year-old was the Lightning’s first round pick, third overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.

Additionally, with Saturday’s news defenseman Victor Hedman would miss atleast the next four games due to an upper body injury, the Lightning recalled defenseman Luke Witkowski from Syracuse.

Witkowski, 6-foot-2, 213 pounds, has an assist and 15 penalty minutes in four games this season.

Last year, Witkowski appeared in 76 games with Syracuse, scoring two goals and 12 points with 204 penalty minutes.
