Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Curtis McElhinney is expected to miss a week with an upper body injury after teammate Nick Foligno collided with him during the second period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss in Ottawa.

McElhinney, who was making his first appearance of the season, was replaced by Sergei Bobrovsky.

The team announced Sunday that McElhinney has been placed on injured reserve and that goaltender Anton Forsberg has been added to the roster on an emergency recall from the Springfield Falcons of the American hockey League.

Forsberg is 1-2-0 with a 2.36 GAA and a .921 save percentage in three games with Springfield this season.

The 21-year-old was the Blue Jackets’ seventh-round pick, 188th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft.
