Rick Nash made it look easy.
His goal in the shootout, a slick move to the forehand that completely fooled Carolina Hurricanes goalie Anton Khudobin, gave the New York Rangers a come-from-behind 2-1 victory to end a three-game losing skid.
Nash is off to a great start, with six goals in five games, but he was picked to shoot third for the Rangers in the deciding skills competition.
Brassard on Nash shootout goal: "When your third shooter is Nash and he has six goals, we are pretty confident. He's hot right now."

Then there was what John Tavares did for the New York Islanders in the shootout against the San Jose Sharks. Talk about doing his best impersonation of Patrick Kane.
Tavares waited and waited, and when Stalock went down, Tavares went to the backhand and put the puck top corner for the winner in the fifth round.
The Islanders improved to 4-0 to start the season, thanks to a 4-3 win.
