B’s sign Bartkowski -- one year, $1.25 million

Matt Bartkowski

The Boston Bruins have come to terms with defenseman Matt Bartkowski on a one-year, $1.25 million contract, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The deal means arbitration won’t be necessary for the 26-year-old, who had no goals and 18 assists in 64 games for the B’s in 2013-14.

Among the restricted free agents general manager Peter Chiarelli still needs to sign are Torey Krug and Reilly Smith, with minimal cap space to do it.
