The Chicago Blackhawks have made a change when it comes to their goaltending coach, firing Steve Weeks after one season on the job, as per the Chicago Sun-Times.

“Tough situation,” Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville told the Chicago Sun-Times. “But we’re looking to make a change there.

“If we can fill it sooner than later, that’s what we’ll look to do ... But I don’t think there’s a timeline on it.”

Weeks was hired by the Blackhawks only last August. He had previously spent long periods of time with the former Atlanta Thrashers organization, as well as the Carolina Hurricanes - also, formerly the Hartford Whalers.

He also played 290 NHL games, and, according to his bio, which was still on the Blackhawks website, played four seasons with Quenneville in Hartford.
