Cam Janssen is back for another tour with the Devils.
Janssen, who’s played five of his nine NHL seasons with New Jersey, agreed to a one-year, two-way extension worth $575,000 at the NHL level, per NorthJersey.com. The move comes after the 30-year-old scored a career-high three goals with the Devils last season, though he did split the campaign between Jersey and its AHL affiliate in Albany.
A noted tough guy, Janssen started his career with the Devils in 2005-06 before a four-year stint in St. Louis from 2007-11. He returned to New Jersey following his time in St. Louis and has played on one-year deals for each of the last three seasons.
