Video: Tokarski makes another unlikely save; Stepan scores in return

Derek Stepan made it 1-1 moments ago on a goal that might just haunt Dustin Tokarski, possibly exposing one of the drawbacks of Tokarski’s aggressive style. Even so, the scrappy goalie has provided some real highlight reel saves in this series, with this unlikely save on Carl Hagelin ranking pretty high up there:

The drawbacks of his style may very well keep him from making a lasting NHL impact, yet in a league of largely similar goalie styles, it’s been entertaining to see something a little different.

Here’s that regrettable Stepan goal:

Tomas Plekanec matched Stepan’s nifty tally to make it 2-1, so maybe that Stepan goal won’t sting as much?
