The San Jose Sharks coaching staff has opted for grit over skill with one of their lineup decisions for Game 1 against the L.A. Kings.
Martin Havlat is a healthy scratch tonight. Mike Brown, who registered five points and 94 penalty minutes in 56 regular season games, is in the lineup in Havlat’s place.
Havlat had a hat trick and a four-point night in the second-to-last regular season game, which was against the Colorado Avalanche.
Sharks make Martin Havlat a scratch. Mike Brown goes in instead.
