The Montreal Canadiens have their goaltending depth chart set for the next couple years now.
The Habs announced they’ve signed goalie Dustin Tokarski to a two-year extension. Details on the contract weren’t immediately available.
Tokarski has appeared in three games this season and is 2-0-0 with a .946 save percentage and a shutout win against the Buffalo Sabres on March 16.
The Canadiens have starting goalie Carey Price locked up through 2017-18 and have backup Peter Budaj signed through 2014-15. With Tokarski’s deal taking him through until the end of the 2015-16 season, it looks like the Canadiens have their man waiting in the wings to backup Price.
