There was a scary moment for the Minnesota Wild in Thursday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Wild forward Zach Parise, the club’s leading goal scorer, was shaken up after taking a hit in the back from Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig during the second period. Parise’s back was turned to Bollig, who finished his hit in open ice near the blue line. It appeared the back of Parise’s head was also hit.
He fell hard to the ice and needed the assistance of a trainer when coming off the ice. However, Parise did return to the game and went on to play in the third period. There was no penalty on the play.
Zach Parise said he was "seeing stars" and still has a little headache after taking the forearm to the back of the head tonight.
