Offensive defenseman Tyson Barrie will play up front for the second game in a row tonight when Colorado hosts the Bruins at the Pepsi Center.

Barrie, second among all Avalanche d-men in scoring this year (with 30 points; Erik Johnson has 34) played over 19 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to Winnipeg, chipping in with an assist, after checking forward John Mitchell was injured in the previous game against Montreal.

Barrie will skate with Max Talbot and Cody McLeod on Colorado’s fourth-line tonight, the Denver Post reports.
