Acquired from Dallas prior to the deadline, veteran defenseman Stephane Robidas will make his Anaheim Ducks debut tonight at home to Washington.
“I think the main thing is [that] I’ve got to keep everything really simple,” Robidas said, per NHL.com. “It’s a new team for me. It’s the first time in a while, so there’s a lot of things going on for me [Tuesday]. But I’m very excited. I’ve been waiting for that moment for a long time. I’m a little nervous, but at the same time I’m excited, so it’s good.”
Adding to the butterflies might be the fact 37-year-old hasn’t played a game since Nov. 29, when he broke his leg against the Blackhawks. Prior to the injury, Robidas was averaging around 20 minutes a night for the Stars, with four goals and one assist in 24 games.
PS -- still no word on Cam Fowler’s health status. The young Anaheim d-man had an MRI on his leg today.
Cam Fowler did have his MRI exam this morning but BB said results might not come until postgame. Is wearing a knee brace.
