Adam Henrique’s career got off to a great start, but at the time he was often playing alongside Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise.

Without that kind of talent surrounding him, he hasn’t been able to replicate that level of success since his rookie campaign. Well, not until recently anyways.

Since the Olympic break, Henrique has found the back of the net in six straight games and has tied the New Jersey Devils’ record, according to the Star-Ledger.

He’s netted nine goals over his streak, giving him a career-best 23 this season. That’s kept the Devils afloat as they’ve been playing a looser game defensively since the break.

New Jersey is four points shy of the second Wild Card spot, but they’ve also played in two more games than the current holder of that position; Detroit.

The Devils will continue their quest to squeak into the playoffs on Tuesday against Philadelphia.
