Things are pretty shaky for the Detroit Red Wings as of this moment, but Thursday represents a chance to look back at the not-so-distant past, as they retired Nicklas Lidstrom’s No. 5 tonight.

The honor meant a lot to Lidstrom, even if he didn’t immediately know everything about retired numbers in Hockeytown:
