On the eve of the NHL’s trade deadline, Edmonton Oilers forward Ales Hemsky put on display his talents for any teams out there possibly interested in acquiring the 30-year-old right winger.

Hemsky, who is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, scored a brilliant power play goal, powering past Ottawa Senators veteran defenseman Chris Phillips and then sliding a backhander past Craig Anderson for his first of two goals on the night. The Oilers recorded their first win since the Olympic break, beating the Senators by a score of 3-2.

“I try not to listen, but it’s hard when you’ve played here for so long,” Hemsky said of trade rumors swirling around him, as per the Edmonton Sun. “But I tried to play my game, not think about it, just enjoy it. It was fun.”
