In news that’s already been blown out of the water by this, forward Brad Boyes has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Florida Panthers. Per TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the deal comes with a cap hit of $2.625 million. And according to ESPN’s Craig Custance, Boyes was able to negotiate a limited no-trade clause.
A one-time 43-goal scorer in St. Louis (who subsequently went through some tough times), Boyes seems to have found a home in Florida, where he has 17 goals in 59 games this season for the Panthers.
