Lightning goalie Bishop suffers upper-body injury

Tampa Bay Lightning v New York Rangers

at Madison Square Garden on January 14, 2014 in New York City.

For the second time in a week, Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop has been forced to leave a game with an injury.

On Thursday, Bishop left the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs with an upper-body injury, and his return was questionable, the club announced Twitter. Cedrick Desjardins came into the game for Tampa Bay.

Bishop played completed the second period, allowing only one goal on 22 shots. Last week, Bishop was injured on a collision with teammate Nikita Kucherov.

He returned just a few days later. An indication that he was perhaps all right: A near fight with Montreal Canadiens tough guy Brandon Prust.
