Canucks go back to Lack

Eddie Lack will make his second straight start on Monday night in Detroit, as the Canucks save Roberto Luongo for Tuesday’s big showdown in Boston.

Lack rebounded from a weak early goal to make 34 saves in a 4-3 loss to Winnipeg on Friday, and will look to build upon his solid numbers this season: 8-7-3, .919 save percentage, 2.28 GAA.

He’ll be going up against Jonas Gustavsson in the Detroit goal tonight.

Gettin’ Giggy with it

J.S. Giguere will make just his second start in a month tonight when the Avs take on the Devils.

Giguere’s last start came on Jan. 6 -- a loss to Calgary in which he allowed four goals on 19 shots -- and he’s been parked ever since, as Colorado head coach Patrick Roy has gone almost exclusively with Seymon Varlamov in goal (Giguere did get some relief time during a 7-2 loss to Toronto on Jan. 21.)

The Devils will go with Cory Schneider tonight, as he looks to have secured the No. 1 gig ahead of Martin Brodeur.
