PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Kings coach Darryl Sutter might be the most fun quote in the league amongst bench bosses. In discussing captain Dustin Brown’s absence because of illness he said, “Basically, he was puking all night, unless you talked to him – did he tell you he wasn’t? I mean, I don’t usually talk to guys when they’re puking.” Wonderful. (L.A. Kings Insider)

Tampa Bay’s Sami Salo was hurt last night. We know, that’s not a big surprise. At the very least, it doesn’t sound serious. (Damian Cristodero)

Duncan Keith on Patrick Sharp: “He’s done everything he can in his power to show Team Canada what he can do.” Sadly for Sharp, he’s a forward and not a goalie. (Tracey Myers)

Things with the New York Rangers are starting to take a rather eerily familiar turn when it comes to goaltending. Alain Vigneault has everything to do with that. (Katie Strang)

You can count Jaromir Jagr amongst Patrick Kane’s many fans around the league. (Chicago Tribune)

Finally, your morning is totally incomplete if you haven’t watched how the Buffalo Sabres beat the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1 in overtime. Take a look at what they’re calling the “Buttgoal.” (NHL.com)
