However Senators fans feel about Daniel Alfredsson’s departure from Ottawa and return visit, the bottom line is that their former captain’s new team won on Sunday. Alfredsson collected two points (a secondary assist an and empty-netter) as the Detroit Red Wings won 4-2.
He was named the third star of the game, although there’s little doubt the spotlight was brightest on him of all players tonight.
