Video: Daniel Sedin proves hi-sticking occurred by showing lost tooth

One of the most amusing traditions in hockey is when fans cheer their own players being bloodied to promote a two-minute hi-sticking* minor into a double-minor. Daniel Sedin was the victim of an errant stick that only generated a two-minute power play on Monday, but it was memorable, as he revealed the tooth he lost in the process:

It’s hard to think of many people who are as flippant about losing their teeth as hockey players (aside from fictional characters such as Charlie Kelly from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). It obviously comes with the territory, then.

* - Yup, it’s “hi-sticking,” not “high-sticking.” Moving on ...
